Omid Ali Mehrnia is a 70-year-old retired school teacher arrested by agents from the Intelligence Ministry following the Ashura protests. When arrested, agents told Omid Ali’s family that he would return home the same night of his arrest after answering a few simple questions. He was not heard from for 40 days following his arrest.
